Explore Iloilo and Estancia (Our Wonderful days)

On our first day, January 15, before going to Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College (NIPSC) that is located on Municipality of Estancia, we visited the Tourism Department Region VI of Philippines, Commission on Higher Education of the Philippines, and met the Governor of Iloilo province. In the afternoon, we continued our trip to NIPSC to have the welcoming program.

The next day we visited the mayor of Estancia Municipality and the police chief of estancia. At the same day for the first time we also went to my practicum school, NIPSC Laboratory Junior High School (LJHS). The teachers there were really welcoming and the students were enthusiast to see me and say hello.

Every weekend NIPSC always gave us chances to explore the beautiful side of Philippines. They prepared everything started from the van, meal, hotel to stay, tickets, etc. We always accompanied by Dr. Gabinete, Miss Jiya (Our buddy), and Sir Third/ Jerry (one of them) as the driver. Excellence service, isn’t it?

Our first week trip on January 19 and 20 was going to Garinfarm and Damires Hill.

Garinfarm

Garinfarm itself is located in San Joaquin, Iloilo province. It is an inland resort, a very popular tourist destination which integrates agriculture, leisure, and recreational all in one place. We can also experience the farming world in real life there.

Hanging Bridge, Damires Hills

On the following day, we went to Damires Hills Tierra Verde which is located in Barangay Damires in the municipality of Janiuay, Iloilo province. The place is perfect for you who love nature, breath-taking scenery, lush greens, thriving vegetation, and want to getaway from the hustle and bustle of life in the city for a while.

Guimaras Landmark

February 2, we went to Guimaras Island, a favourite destination for both domestic and foreign tourist. Guimaras is also very well known with its sweetest mango in the world, listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.

San Lorenzo Wind Farm

The next days we went to SM Supermall to buy Pasalubong or some bringing gifts and souvernirs for our friend and Family in Indonesia. We spent all day at the mall, it was so tiring for me.

That time actually was not a weekend, but because February 5 is a day-off, NIPSC planned us one more trip, before our last teaching practicum day in our school, to relax ourselves. We went to Carles. It is still a municipality in Ilolilo.

That is all about our trip, then we had just to enjoy our remaining days there, before leaving.
